Symposium on Paul Strzelecki in NUI GALWAY on 1 April

This symposium explores the path Paul Strzelecki took from Polish explorer to British subject and then humanitarian leader in Ireland, his impact on the national school system in Ireland, parallels with contemporary relief projects in Ireland and the experience of famine in his homeland.

Visitors will have an opportunity to view the exhibition, located in the foyer of the Hardiman Research Building.
The symposium, taking place in Wednesday, 1 April at 4-6pm, is organised by the Department of History NUI Galway in partnership with the Polish Embassy in Dublin. Admission is free, all are very welcome, no need to book in advance.
